associate with Kevin Vaughn as one of its exclusive marketing agents.
Kevin has a PhD in botany and is currently employed as a plant
physiologist with the U.S. Dept. of Agriculture. Kevin's interest
in hybridizing started at an early age, and he has placed more
than 200 varieties of plants in the market.
He has taken a special interest in Louisiana irises and he
has co-edited/written a book entitled, "The Louisiana
Iris, The Taming of a Native American Wildflower." His garden
has been the subject of P. Allen smith's and the Weather Channel's
garden segments. He has won the prestigious Alex J. Simmons Distinguished
Merit Award for Lifetime Achievement in Hostas, the Service Award
from the Society of Louisiana Irises, The Caillet Cup for Outstanding
Louisiana Hybrid, and two metals from the Royal Horticultural
Society for his Sempervivum hybrids.
